Datadog Appoints Pejman Tabassomi as Field CTO for EMEA

Datadog, Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG), the monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, has appointed Pejman Tabassomi as Field CTO for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This newly created position is designed to help enterprise customers across the region accelerate innovation and gain more value from their observability and cloud initiatives.

In this role, Tabassomi will work closely with executive stakeholders to provide strategic technical guidance, support long-term platform decisions, and help customers solve complex observability and cloud challenges. He will also collaborate with Datadog’s sales organisation to ensure alignment between customer outcomes and technical priorities.

Tabassomi brings nearly seven years of experience at Datadog, where he previously served as Principal Sales Engineer, the highest technical rank within the company’s sales engineering organisation. His background includes leadership roles at AppDynamics, BMC Software, and Quest Software, as well as early experience at Bouygues Telecom. He began his career in academia and research, focusing on applied mathematics and fluid mechanics.

Tabassomi will engage with customers early in their journey, working alongside senior decision-makers and experts to align business goals with technical solutions and provide continuity through key phases of their transformation. His role will also serve as a bridge between customer needs and Datadog’s product and engineering teams.

His appointment comes as Datadog continues to expand rapidly across EMEA, with increasing demand from enterprise and public sector organisations. The company is investing in the region through expanded headcount and new offices to better serve local customers.

This Field CTO role will initially focus on high-touch engagements in key markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Middle East, with a long-term vision to expand the team in line with growing customer demand.
